The Fall/Winter 2023 season has showcased decade-defining ready-to-wear circuits from fashion capitals around the world. On the runway, emerging designers and luxury houses exhibited a new sense of creative energy through a different play on textiles, textures, and accents. The coup de théâtre presentations can’t be left unmentioned, too. An example of this would be Kunihiko Morinaga’s ANREALAGE. The fashion label integrated science with fashion by using a light beam to reveal the actual colors of the garments.

Skin focus
It’s a given that skin health is the main focus in the beauty sphere. As a matter of fact, it’s also synonymous with this season’s visual direction. One show that stands out when considering this category is Hermes’s Autumn/Winter 2023 showcase. In the presentation, models donned a fresh, radiant, and frosted-like complexion. Another noteworthy mention includes Loewe’s Fall 2023, which emphasized the beauty of bare skin on the runway.
Silver affair
Nicolas Ghesquière revived the true definition of French style in Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2023 showcase. Inside the Musée d’Orsay, the fashion house presented a contemporary take on classic silhouettes and textiles with a selection of pleated blazers, detailed dresses, and inventively tailored outerwear. Meanwhile, the metallic silver accent fronted Ghesquière’s beauty direction. It’s one minimalistic detail that added a futuristic appeal to the overall look.

Inside the Williamsburg Savings Bank, the brand presented a series of Siouxsie Sioux-inspired eye makeup, ghost brows, and moody lipsticks. Meanwhile, Dilara Findikoglu Fall 2023 No Man Is An Island combined the grunge look and clean-girl beauty with a hint of smokey eyeshadows and a dab of plum lips shades.
Vampire beauty
Glenn Martens stole the fashion headlines as he explored the theme of pleasure, experimentation, and play on Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2023 show. Aside from the brand’s selection of statement pieces, models donned a glittered complexion that made them sparkle like diamonds in the light. The beauty genre also made an appearance in Dolce and Gabbana Fall/Winter 2023. In it, the fashion house verified the rise of dark and vampy lip colors.
