Emmy Awards 2019: Best Dressed Women At The Red Carpet

By

See how television’s top stars pulled all the stops at the red carpet of the Emmy Awards 2019.

It’s finally the Emmy’s, and it’s only expected that countless of stars will be out in nothing short of stunning ensembles. Unlike the VMAs or the Grammys, where its reputation precedes it because of the influx of out-there, look-at-me looks, the Emmy’s has seen a predilection for timeless silhouettes, taking a cue from the fashion runways. So, while the best of the best were lauded for their turn on television, these standout stars are our winners on the red carpet of the Emmy’s.

Zendaya

Making a case for the exposed lingerie trend on the red carpet, Zendaya opted to go for a bold and daring look. The young star looked impeccably stunning wearing a custom emerald Vera Gown draped dress, which was accentuated by a rich shade of auburn hair.

Emilia Clarke

Just like us, it seems like Emilia Clarke is still not over Game of Thrones as she paid homage to her now iconic character, wearing the most Khaleesi-esque dress. Donning a beguiling navy blue Valentino gown punctuated by a plunging neckline, her look just screams confidence and power.

Halsey

Making her Emmy’s debut is the ever-evolving musician, Halsey. Much like how she sang a supple and stripped-down version of one of Cyndi Lauper’s ballads at the awards ceremony, she chose an ombré Rami Kadi gown that is in a few words exquisit, feminine, and soft.

Sophie Turner

Proving that the best way to look effortlessly sophisticated is by following the time-trusted adage “less is more.” Decked in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, Sophie Turner definitely caught everyone’s attention in this immaculate belted number. Now that’s how the Queen in the North would surely do it.

Mandy Moore

Pink and red coordinates have inexplicably become the talk of the town with multiple stars showing up in a similar pairing. Unknowingly adhering to an unspoken dress code, Mandy Moore stood out in a ravishing off-shoulder dress by Zac Posen.

Kristen Bell

While everyone chose to don the standard monotonous or two-toned ensemble, Kristen Bell stayed true to herself and careened towards the left field. Painting the red carpet with colorful hues, she wore a sparkling multi-colored Dior gown that marvelously complemented her short blonde pixie cut and showed off quite the toned physique.

Kendall Jenner

Definitely no stranger on the runway and l the red carpet, Kendall Jenner makes it a point to stand out in the sea of stars. Divisive as it will stand to be, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wore an undoubtedly unique look by donning a floral-printed mermaid dress over a black latex top by Richard Quinn.

Joey King

Looking all sweet and charming on the red carpet is Joey King. The Kissing Booth star wore a lovely cranberry silk gazar gown accentuated by an adorable embellished bow that complemented her alabaster skin.

Rachel Brosnahan

Rachel Brosnahan proves to us that one way to shine on the carpet is by taking it literally and stepping out in a full-on metallic look. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star radiated so much beauty in an Elie Elie Saab blue column gown from the S/S 2019 haute couture collection.

Laverne Cox

Looking all-so glammed up at the Emmy’s, Lavern Cox emerged on the carpet in a breathtaking frothy tiered tulle moment by Monsoori. But apart from her exquisite gown, the star made a striking political statement by toting a clutch featuring the LGBTQIA+ rainbow on one side with the lettering that reads, “Oct 8, Title VII, Supreme Court”—a reference to the US supreme court’s case on anti-LGBTQ employment discrimination. Folks, that is how you make an empowering fashion statement. Take notes.
