Blackpink’s Jisoo is literally giving us everything: from serving looks, talent and book recommendations

Since her debut, Blackpink’s Kim Jisoo has proven time and time again that she’s more than just a pretty face. From her talents in singing, dancing, and acting, topped with a warm personality, it’s no wonder she’s so popular. It’s also a known fact among her fans that the idol is also a book lover, establishing herself with “beauty and brains” image as fans love to call her. Jisoo is often seen carrying a book wherever she goes like in airports or if not, she’s recommending books to her fans through Blackpink’s V-Live channel.

Due to her busy schedule and upcoming drama, it’s been a while since we last saw Jisoo carrying a book in her hands, so here’s a list of books Jisoo was seen reading or she personally recommended to her fans through the years.

By Hermann Hesse

Even with its German origins, this book was actually a popular title in Korea. Demian also made an appearance in the Korean drama, The Producers starring Kim Soo Hyun and IU. According to a book reviewer, Demian taps into the particular Korean storytelling sensibility, “They are much more enamored of sad endings, and they tend to be much more patient with stories that unfold in such a way that the protagonists never had a real hope of changing the outcome.” Jisoo recommended this book in Blackpink’s reality show, Blackpink House.

A book recommendation from Blackpink House, this book by Haruhiko Shiratori is about one of the greatest philosophers of the 19th century, Friedrich Nietzsche.
