“Nasa puso ko na iyong right one,” states Coco Martin himself
In a catch-up session with MEGA Entertainment and members of the press, actor Coco Martin dishes out that he is already building a home for his family. According to the Batang Quiapo star, “Kinakailangan ko [nang] mag-patayo ng bahay para sa magiging pamilya ko. Kaya ngayon, nagpapatayo na ako sa tabi ng bahay ko rin.”
These were the revelations of Coco Martin during his latest endorsement event. It is also the first time that Coco really paused his time to catch up and give updates about his life at the moment. Right now, the actor is busy taping for his upcoming show, Batang Quiapo, which is set to be his project after the successful seven-year run of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. “Na-edit na namin iyong first episode. Tapos na kami sa Monday episode. Iba siya sa Ang Probinsyano—iba ang atake.”
Prioritizing himself
Coco always gives his all at work, but since the pandemic, he promised to take care of himself more by going for the work-life balance route. According to him, “Dati, patayan. Talagang walang pahinga kasi gusto mo ng maayos na buhay. Pero ngayon, mas na-aappreciate ko maging healthy at mapahaba [ang] buhay para sa pamilya.”
Speaking of family, people inquire about Coco’s love life, especially since many viral videos of him and Julia Montes are making the rounds online, to which he dodges and explains why he does not want to share that part of his personal life. “Mahaba [ang] pinagdaanan namin ni Julia.” Coco continues, “Alam niyo—[ang] pinaka-mahal sa buhay ngayon [ay] peace of mind and privacy. Iyon ang pinaka-mahirap makuha, lalo na ngayon, lahat tayo may social media. [Peace of mind and privacy] na pinaka-reward ko sa akin at sa family ko.”
Social media is the main reason why Coco wants to protect himself and his family, adding, “Mahirap, eh. Kaming mga artista, tao kami—nagkakamali, nagkukulang, lalo na ngayon. Actually, [ang] masakit nga sakin, sa social media, ang hinahanap nila iyong mga mali at ‘yung mga pangit. Pare-pareho tayong naghahanapbuhay. Dapat nga, tayo pa [ang] nagtutulungan.”
