Nothing says Christmas better than a towering Christmas tree decked with bright fairy lights.
It’s the epitome of the most joyous time of the year. To welcome the Yuletide season, the colorful Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences held their annual Christmas tree-lighting event last November 27th.
The grandiose tree was placed in the middle of the hotel lobby, ready to greet guests as they enter the premises. Unlike normal Christmas trees that are decorated with prismatic colors, the one at Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences was a scintillating mix of white, silver, and glittery ebony ribbons, flowers, and baubles, and a single silver star. The quirky blend of hues was an homage to the hotel’s diamond anniversary, which will also take place this December. Underneath the tree were white teddy bears named Pablo, dressed in full painter attire like Picasso himself. These adorable figures were perched atop colorful gift boxes circling the tree.
Heralding the ceremony was the hotel’s general manager, Lisa Zakharka. She started off her speech by reminiscing the hotel’s previous annual Christmas tree-lighting events. As the crowd counted down from 10 and yelled, “Merry Christmas!” the tree was brought to life by dazzling white lights. The luminescence was greeted by colorful confetti and cheerful Christmas songs performed live. It was the perfect way to commence the most wonderful time of the year.
Christmas at Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is unlike your usual corporate celebration. Taking inspiration from Pablo Picasso’s Spanish roots, the hotel has an exclusive promo to treat its guests to a unique holiday. Felices Fiestas, which translates to “Happy Holidays,” is the hotel’s special promo that’s only available for the whole month of December where guests can enjoy the luxury of the hotel for a friendlier price this Christmas to New Year’s Day.
The hotel is not only popular for being situated in the heart of Makati, but also because of its exceptional customer service. If there’s one thing that guests come back for at Picasso, it’s the way the staff and managers treat them. “We have guests who come for their one hundredth visit–and that is not one hundred nights, that is one hundred different times they come back to us. I think [what makes guests come back] really is the fact that this is their second home. From our security, to our front office, to our housekeeping department, everybody treats them [not only] as a guest, but also like a family member. We know their names, [and] we know what their preferences are from the tiniest amenities that they like to see when they arrive in the room. I think that’s definitely something that makes Picasso very special,” shares Lisa.
Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences, although already in the middle of celebrating Yuletide, is also gearing up for 2020 with new offers and plans set up to take the hotel to greater heights. “We’re looking at how we can further provide a more personalized experience to our guests. At the end of the day, our motivation in Picasso as a hotel managed by Hospitality Innovators Inc. (HII) is to continuously strive for improvement. We’re always moving, always trying to improve. We don’t really settle for comfort. It’s very important, as part of an industry that’s ever-evolving. We always have to make sure that we look at new trends, new ways of working, and we adjust our strategies and initiatives for the next year, the year after, and so on.”
