#Inked: Celebrities Who Are Rocking Micro Tattoos

By

This could be the sign you’ve been waiting for.

Raring to get some ink but want to keep it subtle? Micro-tattoos could be for you. Unlike tiny minimalistic tattoos that utilize line art and are unshaded designs, micro tattoos are known for their precise details despite their size. It goes without saying that it takes great skill to pull off micro tattoos.

Still need some convincing? Check out these showbiz names who’ve pulled off their beautifully dainty and powerful micro tattoos.

Nadine Lustre

How could we not start with the queen herself? With every new ink of Nadine Lustre’s piquing everyone interests, it’s safe to say that she’s become a tattoo inspiration for many.

Her most noticeable micro tattoos include the pointillism lotus on her shoulder and the detailed rose on her right wrist.

Nadine has more than 10 tattoos as of writing: including the lotus, rose, the Nozomi Komiya Japanese letters on her left inner sleeve, the Up Dharma Down lyrics “Nakayapak at Nahihiwagaan”, and a variety of line tattoos.

Her most recent addition is the famous saying “It is what it is” and “Thats it” on her ankles—saying that she can see when her legs are crossed in a meditative position.

Anne Curtis

Yep, even Anne Curtis has a few tattoos up her sleeve, or rather, her wrists.

With Korea being a well-known spot for beautiful dainty micro tattoos, the actress first got inked in 2017 on her left wrist with a cross symbol and the word ‘dream’ written across it.

The following year, Anne opted for a more colorful micro tattoo with a simple pink heart and sparkle piece. It kind of looks like the shining heart emoji, TBH!

Solenn Heussaff

Yep, micro tattoos aren’t just in the arms! This new mommy has a beautifully detailed monochromatic image of the Mother Mary on her rib cage, along with a rosary wrapped on her left ankle.

In terms of tradition, Solenn also has the Celtic words “ma kouez en em saff” on her rib cage. It’s apparently a family motto meaning “if I fall, I will rise again” as her brother Erwan also has the words inked on his right inner bicep.

Andi Eigenmann

Who hasn’t been inspired by Andi’s beautiful sunflower arm wrap through the years? This Siargao beach babe is donned with over five tattoos that each have meaningful symbolisms such as the path to enlightenment, a “Choose kindness” text, beach waves, and more.

Christine Reyes

Continuing the tradition of getting tatted abroad, Christine chose Los Angeles as her tattoo place of origin. One of her arms has a detailed cross and a rosary design, while the opposite is donned with a heart and crucifix by the same artist.

Maine Mendoza

It may not be obvious during her GMA-7 hosting stints, but Maine Mendoza has a group of flying birds brandished on her back! She also has another tattoo of the signature three dots done by Buscalan’s Apo Whang-od.

Arci Muñoz

Anyone down to get some watercolor-esque ink? Arci Muñoz has taken her love for Korean icons BTS with some pretty amazing tatts inspired by the Bangtan boys!

During their 2019 concert in Korea, Arci also got inked with a colorful line art of their Love Yourself era.

Syd Hartha

This 20-year-old stunner making waves with her feminist music proves that there’s nothing “sayang” about girls getting inked. In a recent Twitter Q&A, she revealed that she can’t even count how many tattoos she has!
