There’s absolutely no denying that our candidate for Miss Universe 2018 and MEGA Digital cover girl Catriona Gray was in it to win it. From her now signature sizzling walk with slo-mo turn to her daring evening gown choices, she came ready and raring to go.
So it came as no surprise that, for the fourth time in the pageant’s history, the Miss Universe crown came home to the Philippines thanks to Catriona’s sheer determination. Winning the title of Miss Universe has always been on her mind. During our cover shoot with Catriona before she left for Bangkok, we asked the beauty queen three things on her Christmas wishlist. And you guessed it, taking home the crown made it on her list, as well as spending time with her family who are based abroad, and getting a piano to add to her musical skillset. To say that we’re happy that one of her wishes came truewell before Christmas is definitely an understatement.
Catriona’s journey thus far is definitive proof that a wishful heart, hard work, and fiery will can get you where you want to be.
