BTS’ Jungkook has teamed up with the 2022 FIFA World Cup for “Dreamers,” the official song of the prestigious football tournament for this year

Before the K-Pop boy band officially goes on hiatus, they are still making a mark in music history with their individual activities. A more recent example of this is BTS’ Jungkook singing solo in the 2022 FIFA opening ceremony at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar on November 21, 2022.

This event was designed to commence the most prestigious soccer competition in the world, which happens every four years.

Jungkook is the first Asian musician to perform the official theme song of the FIFA World Cup. In the past, artists Shakira and Enrique Iglesias had the honor of writing and composing iconic anthems such as “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” and “Can You Hear Me,” respectively.

Prior to the event, ARMYs already put to social media their immeasurable excitement for the performance. The eagerness of the fans led Jungkook’s live performance on the FIFA stage to be immediately spotted on the YouTube trending list. It already garnered around four million views since its drop yesterday afternoon.

Among the three previous tracks that Jungkook recorded solo, “Dreamers” has a unique upbeat sound that will make you want to go and witness the in-game action happening in the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament yourself.
