It was a particularly gloomy morning in Manila that day. But I was especially looking forward to the Jo Malone brunch that day. From Jo Malone’s past events, one can expect something big when they have their yearly fragrance launch. The sit down lunches were not just a typical spray-on of their new fragrances but a full sensory experience from the venue transformed into an English forest to the scrumptious meals that are very much in-theme. So it was very much interesting to see what they had in store for us guests.

Entering the venue was like entering a garden in the English country-side. A table full of orange and yellow flowers that crawl up to a trellis full of greens and florals all above us. The star of the event though was the newest Jo Malone scent: Honeysuckle & Davana.

These stars couldn’t get enough of the fragrance!
Anne Flipo, Jo Malone’s Master Perfumer described the goal for this scent. “The brief was to capture the exact scent of honeysuckle which we were able to do thanks to the headspace we created in the Cotswolds. We added an unexpected twist to this very English flower with davana, moss and patchouli, turning it into a modern chypre.” With a top note of Davana and base note of Moss, Honeysuckle becomes the heart of the fragrance making the scent smell like a waking up in a breezy Sunday morning and at the same time exudes an allure when night time comes.
The brand suggests that the scent is best paired with the Grapefruit Body & Handwash for extra freshness or combine it with the Oud & Bergamot Body Crème for a more daring scent. The Honeysuckle & Davana will be available next month and will come in three variants: 30ml Cologne (P3900), 100ml Cologne (P7850) and 200g Home Candle (P4000)
