Beychella is now on Netflix and we’re in for so much more!
The Beyoncé 2018 Coachella Performance aka Beychella was a historical moment not only for the music festival itself but for the music industry itself. As the first black woman to ever headline Coachella and being the Queen B that she truly is, Beyoncé fired up the stage and gave us the most entertaining education on black women ever. Not only did she bring the house down with her solo hits, but she has also brought in a few of her friends in the industry. In Coachella, the audience bore witness to the long-awaited Destiny’s Child reunion as she shares the stage with her soul sisters Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, blood sister Solange, and husband Jay-Z. One year after the momentous performance, Beychella is hitting Netflix with ‘Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé‘.
The film will feature candid footages and detailed interviews that chronicle one of music history’s most iconic moments. With the performance having paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities (or HBCU), Beyoncé and the team behind and around it narrates the emotional journey from creative concept to a cultural movement. ‘Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé’ launches globally on Netflix, April 17, 2019.
