The Asian invasion in the world of fashion is far from over, and the presence of Korean model Hyun Ji Shin on the Chanel runway proves just that. The prestigious event was held at the Grand Palais Ephemer in Paris just last week. In strong reference to Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment at 31 Rue Cambon, Xavier Vielhan designed the runway with a village flair. Meanwhile, the luxury fashion house showcased its latest Spring/Summer 2023 collection.

Embarking on an ongoing celebration of grandeur and diversity in luxury fashion, Hyun Ji Shin was clad in a flowy white dress made out of a lace fabric underneath a sheer garb that was carved with gold deer ears on the center, drawing more youthful magic on the ensemble. Giving her aura the right balance of youth and innocence, the Korea’s Next Top Model winner donned the look with a pair of boots in gold and black hues.

With Chanel’s rich heritage in the world of luxury fashion, the impact of Hyun Ji Shin’s presence has been significant not only in Asia, but in the entire industry, knowing that the continent is now playing a key role in shaping the global fashion scene.

It can also be recalled that Hyun Ji Shin walked on the Chanel runway alongside Gigi Hadid and Mona Touggard for the brand’s RTW 2021 F/W collection.
