Let’s say it all more time: Ariba, Rabiya!

With the Philippines Miss Universe bet Rabiya Mateo proudly representing the country and landing a spot in the Top 21 earlier today, May 16, the entire country is undoubtedly proud of her hard work and effort.

Aside from the outpour of love from Filipinos everywhere, check out these celebs who’ve shown support to the 24-year old beauty queen.

Pre-event:

Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli

Perhaps one of the first showbiz names that got Rabiya blushing is none other than longtime couple Sarah and Matteo Guidicelli! Rabiya was so happy that she posted their video message herself on Instagram.

“Someone is ‘kinikilig’ right now. Awww, my popster heart,” she had shared.

Kathryn Bernardo

Days before the big event, Kathryn Bernardo shared a few words of encouragement to show support for the queen.

“I know there’s a lot of pressure for the upcoming pageant but know that the whole Philippines and every Filipino will be cheering for you on that day and ngayon pa lang, we are very very proud of you,” Kathryn shared via Instagram stories.

“So whatever happens proud kami sayo.”

Post-event:

Maja Salvador

After the announcement that Rabiya will no longer be joining the Top 10 finalists for this year’s Miss Universe, Maja Salvador was quick to assure that the Philippines is still very much appreciative of her efforts with a straight and simple “MAHAL KA NAMIN RABIYA!!!!”

Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu first cracked a joke about the 2020 Miss Universe winner and Miss Mexico, Andrea Meza. But she soon followed up the tweet and instead congratulated Rabiya for a job well done.

“But no matter what happened today, We love you Ms. Philippines!!! Congratulations Rabiya!!!!”

Andrea Brillantes

Saying what we were all thinking, Andrea Brillantes shared that if only Rabiya had entered the Top 5 and spoken for the Q&A portion, the Philippines would be a sure win.

As a registered physical therapist and cum laude, we can’t deny that we would’ve love hearing Rabiya’s thoughts on the pandemic as a frontliner.

Alex Gonzaga

Drawing the spotlight on just how grateful we are to have Rabiya represent the country, vlogger Alex Gonzaga gave heartfelt thanks to the 2020 MUP.

Though she failed to make it to the Top 10 of the competition, Rabiya’s efforts are well-aligned with those that came before her, as she’s now the 11th Miss Universe Philippines to be part of the Top 20.

You’re still our queen, Rabiya!
