From one iconic actress to another, Anne Curtis purchased the headband Audrey Hepburn wore in 50s film, Funny Face, for her 37th birthday.

Growing up watching old films on the television set, you’d be able to catch some of the greats. During the golden age of film, moving pictures featured blockbuster movie stars, such as: purple-eyed Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, bombshell Marilyn Monroe, and the elegant Audrey Hepburn. They were almost like goddesses of the silver screen. They were adored during their time under the spotlight and that adoration grew into their legacy.
Now, many women and young ladies still look up to the aforementioned stars. We still watch their movies, maybe own a painting of them or two, and some of us even go the extra mile and bid on their archived personal belongings. This is what Anne Curtis did. For her 37th birthday, Anne decided to bid on Audrey Hepburn’s headband from the hit movie, Funny Face. Eventually, she won the bid and can now freely wear the headband whenever she pleases.
We aren’t quite sure exactly when the bid was placed, but we do know that Audrey Hepburn’s estate had an auction in the year 2017 of most of her personal belongings. There were 46 registered buyers across six continents bidding on her archived pieces. According to a prior Instagram post, Anne Curtis bid on the item from auction house, Christie’s.
Nevertheless, we are absolutely thrilled that Anne Curtis was able to wear such a historic piece for her personal archive. What even makes it more of a celebratory moment is the fact that the headband she bought is considered as one of the 10 most iconic headbands in the world by both Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. We are so happy for Anne and we are even more jovial about her birthday today.
