Vice Ganda is no stranger to donning glamorous looks. From his exquisite Michael Cinco gown accentuated with a 20-foot-long hand-painted cape at the ABSCBN Ball to his gold sequined Neric Beltran dress at the MEGA Equality Ball, he surely has no-holds-barred on anything avante-garde.
And recently, we witnessed his not just once, but several times, in showstopping looks during the live shows of Idol Philippines—all thanks to designer-to-the-stars Neric Beltran.
Vice Ganda shared to MEGA that since “Neric is just so creative and his imagination is wild… he can really achieve any look that I want for my events. That’s why whenever there’s a special occasion, it’s [usually] Neric Beltran who makes my dresses.”
Although this may be, to achieve such astonishing pieces that will turn heads, there’s this challenge for Neric to keep on elevating his designs every week for Idol Philippines. So to make the magic happen, Neric explained to MEGA that he “based the designs with his personality. It’s very colorful, statement pieces and avant-garde. [Vice Ganda] wanted very detailed outfits—from the beading, mix of colors, fabric, to texture.”
The most important aspect for each of his designs? “The bigger the better,” Neric said. With that, here are our favorite looks of Vice Ganda in Idol Philippines.
Making a romantic case for oversized shoulders, Vice Ganda donned a sparkly blue sequinned paillette dress punctuated by an exaggerated ruffled shoulder.
Like any real superstar, red would always give you that power entrance. And Vice Ganda easily achieved that wearing a red blazer embellished with beaded fringe and feathered sleeves. He finished his look with feathered knee-high boots.
Vice Ganda also dared to stand out on stage as he wore a neon dress. To complete his look, Neric made his a stole embellished with paillettes and a huge bow as his headpiece in the same color.
Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a dramatic ensemble from Vice Ganda. So wearing a black sheer dress embellished with an opulent amount of feathers, we sure got captivated by the gorgeous dress.
Finally, as it was the final showdown of the top three candidates of the Idol Philippines, Vice Ganda surely brought his style-game up a notch. He effortlessly commanded the attention of the crowd in a stunning red bodysuit punctuated by a sheer crystalized cape with extravagant ruffles.
