What will happen to the new Bottega Veneta? Before Daniel Lee came into the picture 3 years ago, Bottega Veneta was seen as a brand for older women. Naturally, that would be the case considering the brand was originally known as makers of artisanal leather goods. Through Daniel Lee’s creative direction, Bottega Veneta was able to expand their clientele to a younger market through trendsetting innovations. Lee really knew his clients at Bottega. After his stint at Celine under the wing of Phoebe Philo, the designer was able to create his own voice through the brand. And, everyone loved it.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to and end, because Daniel Lee will no longer serve as Bottega Venetta’s Creative Director. Rumors are running wild in the industry that he may be working again with former mentor, Phoebe Philo, for her upcoming brand under LVMH. Who knows? Only time can tell. For now, the only thing we can do is reminsce over 10 of his most iconic creations during his time at Bottega Veneta.

Cassette Bag
How can anyone forget the Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag? The Padded Cassette Bag made it’s first introduction in their lineup of Pre-Fall 2019 Bags.

The Pouch
The first bag in Daniel Lee’s Bottega era that made an impact was the Pouch. It was introduced for Spring 2019, even before Daniel Lee made his runway debut.

Mini Jodie
Influencers love the mini Jodie! This was the It Bag of early 2020. Everyone was seen carrying the Jodie while wearing the next item on this list.

Stretch Mesh Pumps
Of course, we have to mention the Stretch Mesh Pumps. And yes, the name of this particular design is called Stretch, but the most iconic variation of this pump comes in mesh.

Lido Mules
A squared toe and Bottega Venetta’s Intrecciato leather work all in one unique pair. Need we say more?

Stretch Slip On Sandals
Like we said a while ago, there are many variations of the stretch. It just so happens that we like the sandals too.

Stretch Mules
Who said mules were out of fashion? Bottega Veneta brought back the leather mule with simple and chic designs.

Tire Boots
Chunky soles are all the rage. Daniel Lee made it a Bottega Veneta staple with his version of the rain boots– the Tire boot.

Point Bag
It’s called the Point Bag because it has a triangular handle that points downward. Simple and smart– everything we love Daniel Lee for.
