During the 58th Binibining Pilipinas competition, four beauty queens were crowned with competing titles in international pageants. Chelsea Fernandez will be competing in Miss Globe, Gabrielle Basiano in Miss Intercontinental, Roberta Tamondong in Miss Grand International, and finally Nicole Borromeo for the Miss International competition. They competed against 40 hopefuls from all over the country for a chance to compete in an international pageant during the upcoming months. The most prestigious out of the four would have to be the Miss International crown, which is the winning pageant of Kylie Verzosa, Bea Santiago, and Melanie Marquez.
This year our Miss International bet is Nicole Borromeo who hails from the city of Cebu. We got to know her better on the catwalk and from the Q&A segment, but we still don’t know much about the young queen. We do know she’s a model, advocate, and has previous experience in pageantry. But, what are her interests and who is the girl who will compete for us in Miss International? Here are 7 fun facts about her.
1. She helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity
For Nicole’s philanthropic work, she co-hosted a benefit with the President of Habitat for Humanity for their individual campaign titled, Bahay ni Juan. The campaign aims to provide housing for those who have none.
2. She has a Binibining Pilipinas barkada
You can find fun quirky videos of Nicole and her beauty queen barkada in Tiktok and on Instagram. They make a bunch of content together throughout their pageant journey. Their group includes Stacey Gabriel, Patricia Samanthha Go, and Joanna Rabe.
3. She’s a lover of the arts
Nicole is an artist herself, which means she is a lover of the arts. The young queen often visits museums and galleries. She even does live art demonstrations on stage for her pageant runs.
4. She has a boyfriend
Love is in the air! Nicole Borromeo and her boyfriend, Giles Benedicto, have been together for 6 years. The couple have been posting photos together on Instagram. Giles even supported Nicole during coronation night.
5. She loves water sports
The beautiful Cebuana loves going to the beach and trying out different water sports. Nicole posts photos of herself diving, snorkeling , and swimming in the beautiful waters of Cebu.
6. This isn’t her first pageant win
She’s a winner! In the year 2019, Nicole won the title of Miss Millennial Philippines 2019. She competed in the pageant under Eat Bulaga and won so many wonderful prizes along the way.
