We can’t get enough of the K-Pop fever. There’s just too many groups with incredible talent, dedication, and amazing style. These K-Pop groups aren’t just taking over our hearts, but they’re also taking over the entire world. Groups like Blackpink and BTS are partnering with big luxury brands from all over the world. Other groups like ITZY and TWICE are doing world tours, international TV appearances, and everything in between.

There’s just so much to love about what Korean produced talent can bring us. One of the newer girl groups that’s on the rise is Lapillus. It’s a six-member girl group under MLD Entertainment with two hit songs under their belt. If you want to know more about them, then you’re in luck. Here are 5 things you didn’t know about K-Pop girl group, Lapillus.


1. Lapillus is only 2 months old

Yup, you heard that right! Lapillus made their debut on June 20, 2022. That makes them only 2 months old. Despite this, the members have been training for more than a few years before debuting.

2. They have a Filipino-Argentinian member

There’s a Filipina Argentinian member in Lapillus. Chantal Videla was a former actress in a local channel in the Philippines. After her stint on the silver screen, she has moved on to be a K-Pop superstar.

3. Their first song is called, “Hit Ya!”

The debut single of Lapillus is a song called, “Hit Ya!” It’s a high energy pop song that showcases both the mesmerizing dance steps of the group, as well as their vocal range.

4. Two members of Lapillus hosted a web series

For their pre-debut preparations, both Nonaka Shana and Chantal Videla hosted a web series on Nadol TV called ShanShaWorld. They showed how it was like to be a foreign K-Pop trainee in Korea.

5. They’re here in Manila

When Lapillus had the choice to hold a fan meet in all of the neighboring countries from Korea, they chose the Philippines. They recently met up with all their Filipino fans at a cafe a few weeks ago.
