The Cebuana beauty queen has long been a fan favorite since the start of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

We’re all patiently wait for the next Miss Universe Philippines to be crowned. With that said, many pageant fans and onlookers alike have had their eyes on their bets for the title—and there are queens whose names we often hear. 

Like most competitions, fan favorites also dominated the pageant from the very beginning. One of which is Cebu Province representative, Steffi Rose Aberasturi. With a huge fanbase following her journey to the crown, we can’t help but wonder more about the Cebuana beauty. 

Here are 5 things to know about Miss Universe Philippines candidate Steffi Rose Aberasturi:

She is Spanish-Australian-Filipino

Born and raised in Cebu, the beauty queen is actually of Spanish, Australian, and Filipino descent. Her dad is Spanish-Filipino, while her mom is Australian-Filipino. She grew up in Cebu, where studied and was named Cum Laude at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City for her degree in Tourism Management.

She is a true blue beauty queen

With her beauty, it’s not surprising to know that she is not new to the world of pageantry. Before representing Cebu Province for the Miss Universe Philippines, the Cebuana has already bagged 7 titles: Sinulog Festival Queen 2011, Miss Mandaue 2013, and Binibining Cebu 2018, to name a few. 

She recently made history

Well, who could forget her runway walk challenge? Not only was she hailed the winner for the challenge, she made history too. As she shared on her Instagram post, “proud and honoured to be the first Cebuana to strut on the soon to open Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway… in HEELS!”

She advocates for small businesses

Steffi aims to advocate for local and small businesses in the country. As an online seller herself, she sees the importance of supporting local businesses especially in the new normal. She even shared on her introduction video that her friends call her “Queendera”, or the combination of “queen” and “tindera”, as she has been selling stuff since she was in high school.

She is a certified scuba diver

Growing up in Cebu, it’s no surprise that this beauty queen loves the beach. So much so, that she is actually a certified scuba diver. She also shares her diving adventures with her followers on Instagram.
