We all have that one friend who isn’t afraid to go over the top with their wardrobe regardless if they are off to a night out or headed to the supermarket. They don’t care about whether they fit in, because they’d much rather be themselves. Besides, fashion is supposed to be an extension of the soul– a way for others to see who you truly are. So, if you’re really a unique and vibrant person, then why not show that?

H&M Studio’s SS22 collection, entitled Press Play, focuses on providing mood-enhancing pieces that anyone with a colorful personality would love. The pieces radiate the post-pandemic mantra to see and be seen. “There’s a new mood of exuberance in the air making us all want to dress up in fabulous clothes again. It’s reminiscent of the va-va-voom spirit that defined fashion in the 1980s up to the early 2000s. For the SS22 collection, we want to bring powerful, big-personality fashion back in the spotlight, offering versatile pieces that will inspire joy,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

1. Animal Prints
One thing’s for sure: animal prints are back! It’s even Gen Z approved after Andrea Brillantes was spotted wearing animal prints for a photoshoot. You can wear them in the usual brown tones or you can try mixing it up with colorful animal prints.

2. Cut Out Dress
The cut out dress is getting revamped in 2022. Instead of a usual cutout, we’re seeing embellishments of gold and silver in the pieces available today. Heart Evangelista was even seen wearing an embellished cut out dress to Paris Fashion Week.

3. Green Coordinates
In the 90s green was all the rage. Gwyneth Paltrow was seen wearing the color a lot during her off duty days. Now, it’s making a comeback in a not so subtle way. You can wear it as two piece set in different textile options. We love this silk one from H&M.
