We take a look back on Lady Gaga’s iconic looks from her Bad Romance music video, which debuted 10 years ago, reminding why she is a living legend.
All the people will agree, especially the Little Monsters, when we say that Lady Gaga is a living legend who is truly way ahead of her time. Since the premiere of Bad Romance 10 years ago, it has been a decade of slaying in a fusion of funk, pop, rock, and electronic music. She was, indeed born that way, extra. The subsequent release of Born This Way years later reinforced her message that there is nothing wrong with how you want yourself to be. Now, let’s cut to the chase and look at Lady Gaga’s 10, yes, those were 10 extraordinary looks from her Bad Romance music video.
The music video that hit a billion views made her the first female artist to top charts thrice in a calendar year. And to inject some Lady Gaga vibe, plug in your earphones, play Bad Romance on repeat, and suddenly, it would feel like it was just yesterday when she released the hit track.
It seems like she envisioned what fashion could turn to 10 years ago as her styles remain relevant. From her bob micro bangs to pastel-colored hair styles, everyone still seems to be doing it, right?
She channeled her own take on monochromatic dressing, too.
It was as if she had us in her own 5-minute runway with some of her designer looks. Wearing Agent Provocateur demi bra and panties, Lady Gaga completed the look with the highly covetable Alexander McQueen spring 2010 dragon heels and a pair of Armadillo boots in a separate look.
Vava Dudu customized a Burberry original vintage coat for Gaga. She also wore a polar bear fur coat that matched her white lingerie.
The superstar who has also ventured into beauty is currently preoccupied with her Haus Labs with fashion director and editor, Nicola Formichetti. While the Haus Labs wasn’t their first project together, Nicola took part in the Bad Romance music video as one of Gaga’s fashion director. Now, he’s worked with several fashion houses like Vogue Hommes Japan, Uniqlo, Diesel, and more.
