Inspiring us to take on the world as if it were our own runway, TRESemmé partnered with renowned designer Carl Jan Cruz for a one-of-a-kind show that celebrated diversity. Known for his deconstructed and oversized pieces, Cruz’s aesthetic was also reflected by the looks created by three of the country’s top hairstylists: Lourd Ramos, Victor Ortega and Suyen Salazar.

1. Pin and Go
Described as perfect for someone who is always on the go like Lourd Ramos himself, the look centers on the stylishly-placed bobby pins across the face. Whether you’re sporting a full ponytail or a look that is half-up, half-down, it can definitely be achieved by anyone if you start with the right base.
“I’ve been telling everyone I know to use the new TRESemmé Range and Professional Series. It contains 8 essential oils like argan and shea butter, so it makes your hair fabulous!” squeals Lourd when asked about what he likes about the line.
2. Twist and Turns
Victor Ortega’s inspiration for the hairstyle he has created was suprisingly simple: “For my look, I was so inspired by young people pulling off street wear,” he says with a smile. The look, which is straight hair with plaits peeking out, is both romantic and edgy.
3. The Thread
Cool girl Suyen Salazar calls The Thread a contemporary take on the classic updo, as it includes weaving a thin piece of cloth into the models’ tresses. “My inspiration was CJ himself and his clothing. His pieces are modern but also unrefined and slightly rugged–this is also something I love to do when it comes to hair,” she says.
Salazar also adds that a clean, healthy base is important for the look, and she personally loves TRESemmé’s Detox and Nourish Shampoo for this: “It strips out the unnecessary oils, which is something a lot of people here want because of the humid weather.”
