With a famous last name that is often associated with some of the industry’s biggest stars, it can be daunting to follow the same path. But Julia Barretto does it effortlessly, proving to us that she was indeed made for the spotlight.
Julia first rose to fame by playing the lead role in ABS-CBN’s Kokey in 2007. After being one of the four covergirls alongside Erich Gonzales, Maja Salvador and Kathryn Bernardo for #MakingMEGAinSouthAftrica last 2014, Julia proved to us that she could play even more challenging roles, starring in Mirabella and various episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Since then, the young beauty’s career has noticeably rocketed—from having even more television and film appearances to a successful love team tandem with partner Joshua Garcia. While she has truly come a long way from being compared to her celebrity relatives, the resemblance and the natural superstardom is there.
