Matching your make-up with your outfit sounds very easy, but in reality, it is not. Unlike how we can easily mix and match certain color combinations for our whole outfit, choosing the perfect lipstick shade becomes a challenge.

As a morena, Kathryn Bernardo shared the same struggle. “Problem ko before was to find the perfect makeup for me, because I’m morena” and there is not much beauty brands that cater to a wide range of skin tones before.
With her latest collaboration with Happy Skin, she recently launched her new line called “Generation Skin with Kathryn” that can suit different skin tones. As she strongly believes that simple can be beautiful, she shares to MEGA that the key to perfectly match your make-up with your outfit “is all about balance.”
Kathryn explains that if your outfit is nude or neutral colors, you can always opt for a bright red lipstick to be the pop of color for your whole look. Wearing a red lipstick can also save valuable time if you are in a hurry because it suits all skin tones.
On the other hand, if you are wearing a colored outfit, Kathryn advises to choose from the shades of nude lipstick so as to balance the whole look because of the light and subtle shade of nude.
For a no make-up make-up look, she shares that once she is wearing a casual outfit, she keeps her look simple and partners it with her lip tint in the colors of Prim or Fearless (P299), and the powder blush in Freedom or Love (P399).
As for her last advice to everyone, she says that a little always goes a long way and make sure to blend for a natural finish.
