When Harper’s Bazaar US recently revealed their feature on real-life crazy rich Asians with Crazy Rich Asians‘ author Kevin Kwan, we were all left breathless with the way the ladies put together their outfits for Couture Week last June. One of these ladies happened to be the country’s very own Heart Evangelista-Escudero, who recently graced our May 2018 issue.

In addition to her show-stopping ensembles, one cannot deny the role of Heart’s seemingly perfect hair and makeup. Her makeup artist Albert Kurniawan gave us an exclusive sneak peek behind the scenes.
“During our stay in Paris there was a camera crew following Heart every day. Every morning, I would match her makeup depending on what she would wear to the shows,” Albert starts. “She typically likes soft, natural glamour but there are times, like in the Elie Saab show, when I played it up. For that show, I have her a bold smoky shadow with lavender-colored glitters on the eyelids.”
If you want to achieve a luxurious look yourselves, Albert spills one secret to glam up your everyday look. “It’s simple for me: liner and false lashes. You can skip everything else if you’re lazy, but I find that applying liner, falsies and mascara will instantly level up your look.”
