Ever since it has been announced, the Dyson Airwrap styler has been getting a lot of buzz for allowing users to achieve salon-style looks—voluminous curls, natural waves, a smooth, blow-dry finish—with just one tool. In addition to this, it doesn’t rely on extreme heat at all, giving your hair that healthy gloss you’ve always wanted without damaging it.

Here’s how it works: Dyson’s in-house team of motors expers created the V9 Dyson digital motor, which spins an area of high pressure at the top of the styling barrel, creating a high velocity jet of air. This physical phenomenon, called the Coandă effect, is created by the machine’s styling brushes to give you the look you want, whether it be curls or a sleek blow out.

The Dyson Airwrap styler comes in three different variants: the Dyson Airwrap Volume + Shape (P26,500), meant to add body to limp, flat hair, the Dyson Airwrap Smooth + Control (P26,500), for frizz-prone hair, and the Dyson Airwrap Complete (P29,500), engineered for multiple hair types. Each variant contains brushes and barrels that can easily be attached to the machine’s body.
