Carolina Herrera Celebrates Its Anniversary With A Celebrity Portrait Exhibition

By

Carolina Herrera has been in the global fashion scene for 35 years now, but as it celebrates its first anniversary in the Philippines, the label debuted the Insignia Project exhibition at the Pearl of the Orient. Showcasing a diverse set of artists who have proven their excellence in their respective fields, the portrait exhibition perfectly represented what makes every person unique.

As featured artists in the campaign wore a white shirt (one of the most recognizable pieces of Carolina Herrera) in the portrait, the exhibition successfully unified the photographs and highlighted the distinctive features of the characters themselves—their insignias.

Heart Evangelista-Escudero

Heart has been making rounds in the fashion stage for quite some time now. After attending various fashion weeks, being the global ambassadress for Sequoia, and being featured in the Harper’s Bazaar US as a real-life crazy rich Asian, Heart Evangelista-Escudero has already proven that she is and will be one of Philippines most iconic style inspirations.

But beyond these facts, it has always been Heart’s unique perspective and approach in art that sets her apart from other celebrities and influencers in the fashion stage. Staying true to herself, she painted an astonishing artwork on her bag; this time it’s on her Carolina Herrera Insignia bag. “I best express myself through the language of colors and strokes on canvas, so I would say that my art is my Insignia.”

Lovi Poe

Lovi has been having her fair share of major fashion moments lately. From bagging the top best dressed lists left and right, to landing MEGA’s May cover issue, it’s not really questionable that she is on a roll. And given her authenticity on-and-off the camera, Lovi depicts the qualities of a true sophisticated woman: steadfast, humble, and resilient. For her Insignia, she wears her tattoos loud and proud. “My tattoos are my Insignia. They’re personal scars engraved on my skin.”

Mari Jasmin

Recently coming out as bisexual and representing the LGBTQI+ flag with pride in the industry, Mari Jasmin proves that embracing your authentic self is truly the key to living the best life. The blogger-model has always been outspoken on the digital platform advocating for a society to be inclusive. A world where she would have the same fundamental human rights that she would be entitled to regardless of gender. And just like Carolina Herrera, who believes that fashion is for everyone and that there’s no need to conform to the societal standards, Mari’s Insignia is all about “encouraging others to be true to themselves and live their best lives, whatever that may be.”
