Designer clothes are now much more accessible and Avel Bacudio made it possible.
Designer goods can be a little too intimidating for many. It’s the luxury that comes with these items tagged by names of established designers. But as the saying goes, designer goods are more than just luxury—they’re investments. And as fashion evolves with time, luxe is now within most people’s reach. Avel Bacudio makes this possible in collaboration with Matteo Guidicelli. Starting off with basic jeans, the two gives everyone a chance to invest on goods that were once called “intimidating”.
“It was Matteo’s [idea] to go for jeans. Matteo came up to me and asked if we can work on something designer but not intimidating—something everyone can wear,” Avel shares. This began #AvelXMatteo, a line of designer jeans that can be exclusively bought online. And almost a year after their launch, the two are releasing a new collection of designer jeans for everyday wear. See them first at the MEGA Fashion Week on October 7, 2018.
